Indigenous-owned Cape York Peninsula Lodge has won Gold and TTNQ has won Bronze in the 2022 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Sydney on Friday. The Lodge, which won the 4-4.5 Star Deluxe Accommodation category, is operated by Bamaga Enterprises Limited, a First Nations, community-owned organisation that reinvests its profits into scholarships, sponsorships, and community infrastructure. In 2022, the Lodge added unique, Indigenous-guided tours to its array of guest experiences on offer.
TTNQ’s Autumn Looks Great in Green marketing campaign was awarded one of the top three Tourism Marketing and Campaigns in Australia which was a great achievement for the team. As well as increasing awareness of Tropical North Queensland’s unique autumn experiences, the campaign highlighted the region’s many sustainable experiences and partnered with Qantas Loyalty for the launch of their Green tier program.
