The TNQ Tourism Industry Excellence Awards
The TNQ Tourism Industry Excellence Awards celebrate the achievements and successes within the Tropical North Queensland tourism industry. The TTNQ Board recognises the products and people who have made their mark on the region’s tourism industry over the past year.

Life Member
Recognises a long period of dedicated commitment to tourism in Tropical North Queensland and acknowledges the personal achievements of the inductee in the tourism industry.

Chair’s Award of Excellence
Recognises a project, initiative, product or service that has made a huge impact and contribution to the tourism industry in Tropical North Queensland.
*Chosen by the TTNQ Chair with the support of the Board
Outstanding Contribution by an Individual
Recognises the extraordinary personal and professional achievement by an individual over many years to the Australian, and particularly the Queensland tourism industry.

Young Achiever Excellence Award
Recognises an individual under the age of 35 who has made a significant contribution to the tourism industry in Tropical North Queensland and to the development of their community.

The Year of Indigenous Tourism Excellence Award *NEW*
Recognises the contribution to the tourism industry by an indigenous-owned experience in Tropical North Queensland.

The Venue
The 2020 TNQ Tourism Industry Excellence Awards will be held on Friday 23rd October. We are looking for a venue to partner with us to hold this event in the Cairns area. This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase your venue to the Tourism Industry.
Details
Guests: 200pax
Event type: Cocktail with tropical theme, 6pm-9pm. Preferably outdoor and undercover (or in indoor/outdoor feel) with a suitable wet-weather backup
Catering: Substantial canapes and fork food, served between 6pm-7pm
Beverages: Wine and non-alcoholic beverages to be provided on consumption. Please note that Lion usually supplies the beer for the evening so the chosen venue will need to work with them.
AV: Stage, screen and data projector for the entertainment and awards presentation. Microphone and speaker system for the speeches and music. AV technician required onsite for the evening. Lighting as appropriate for your venue to highlight the speaker on stage and low-level lighting for the remainder of the evening (no coloured lighting).
Themeing: Tropical themeing to be provided by the venue ie. centrepieces on cocktail tables, live plants etc.
Budget: $50pp for food and $5000 for Venue (AV and Themeing)
