In the current landscape, there’s an abundance of resources aimed at supporting businesses in enhancing their sustainability practices, whether it’s through upskilling, certification, or gaining valuable data-based insights. TTNQ’s Sustainability Hub serves as a centralised and regularly updated online resource for our members, offering a wealth of tools, resources, grants, and opportunities tailored to our destination.
This edition of our “Sustainability Leaders” newsletter brings you a summary of the latest grants/information and events in the sustainability sphere. I encourage you to make regular visits to the Sustainability Hub page to stay informed and take advantage of the opportunities available.
Recently, I have had the opportunity to engage with many in discussions surrounding sustainability data measurement and assessment. It’s been wonderful to witness the positive impact this journey has had on those already immersed in it, as well as to provide support and resources to those embarking on this path. Whether you’re exploring sustainability data strategy, resourcing, or seeking opportunities, please feel free to reach out to me. There are a myriad of tools, resources and literature designed specifically for the tourism/hospitality industry that I can connect you with if you are interested.
There are many reasons why businesses may wish to begin a journey of measuring sustainability and emissions data including to align with upcoming Australian Government reporting requirements (particularly for larger businesses) and to meet the demands of businesses in the supply chain, fostering transparency and competitiveness in an increasingly eco-conscious market landscape.
Should you have any questions or require assistance in understanding how data measurement and analysis can enhance your energy, waste, water, and economic outcomes, please don’t hesitate to reach out via [email protected]
