Dealing with temporary closures and cancellations

Here are some helpful tips should your business have to temporarily close or the operational hours reduced as a result COVID-19.

  1. Create a pop-up banner for your website to switch on at short notice to alert visitors to your website of your closure or change in opening hours. We have created some generic website banners that can be downloaded and used on your website and social media channels here.
  2. Create a social media post that can be posted at short notice to alert followers of your closure or change in opening hours.
  3. Ensure multiple team members have access to your reservations system from home so you can notify all affected bookings.
  4. Divert your office phones to a mobile so you can remain contactable for any customer enquiries.
  5. Create an email that can be sent at short notice to booking agents and partners to alert them of your closure or changes to your opening hours.
  6. Ensure a team member is tasked with updating your Google My Business profile and Facebook profile to reflect your closure or changed opening hours. Click here for further instructions on this.
  7. Create an Out-of-office message for your email account that can be switched on at short notice to alert people contacting you of your closure or change in opening hours.

Did you know that @australia used to be largely a rainforest-clad continent? 🌿🌱 The @wettropicsworldheritage rainforest is the oldest remaining patch of this ancient forest, estimated to be over 180million years old 😲 That’s why you’ll find some of the most primitive flora & fauna species here. In fact, there are 700 endemic species within the World Heritage Area that can’t be found anywhere else in the world 🌏

This is how you make the most of warm sunny days in the tropics 🍉

@visitpalmcove might be one of our favourite tropical beaches & it's not hard to see why 🌴 Not only is there stunning sandy shores to kick back & relax on, but there's so much more to explore! Walk around barefoot, choose a bike instead of a car & buy fresh seafood for a sunset barbecue on the beach 🦐🌺 You can hire a kayak & paddle right off the beach or head out to nearby #DoubleIsland 🏝 The Palm Cove jetty is a great fishing spot, with plenty of Spanish mackerel, cod, whiting, stripeys and flathead to be caught 🎣

⚠️ Remember - If you choose to swim, only do so at patrolled beaches & make sure you stay inside the net to stay safe as there may be marine stingers present in the water.
