The Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) is Australia’s largest annual travel and tourism business-to-business event hosted by Tourism Australia. The event brings together Australian tourism businesses, and tourism wholesalers and retailers from around the world through a combination of scheduled business appointments and networking events. It also provides international travel buyers with the opportunity to experience Australia’s tourism offering first-hand through pre and post-event familiarisations. Around 1,500 Australian seller delegates from approximately 550 companies, 650 key buyer delegates from over 30 countries, and 70 international and Australian media attend this global event.

Meeting Place is ATEC’s biggest trade event and takes place each year, usually in late October or early November. Meeting Place is a full three day program offering business-to-business trade engagement appointments, an insightful conference program, topical break-out sessions, buyer and supplier forums, extensive networking opportunities and gala celebration and recognition awards. The number one industry-delivered trade event on the inbound calendar, Meeting Place is a must-do event, delivering the all-important commercial opportunities that help grow your business.

ATEC’s Explore Far North Queensland 2025 is an annual Trade Engagement Event. Explore North Queensland will include welcome networking drinks, business to business (B2B) meetings between ATEC buyer and seller members followed by a delegate dinner on Daydream Island in The Whitsundays.

The event will be held at the Torrance Marriott Redondo Beach Hotel and is an opportunity for representatives from the Australian tourism industry to establish and maintain business relationships with key qualified travel agencies, wholesalers, travel advisors and tour operators from across North America. It includes two days of pre-scheduled appointments between buyers and sellers as well as networking opportunities.
High demand is anticipated for the event; seller oversubscription will be managed in line with the selection criteria and in conjunction with state/territory tourism organisations to ensure quality appointment schedules.

QIC, UK & Europe has two distinct activities, firstly a Product Manager (PM’s) event targeting UK, Northern European, German, Swiss, Austrian, Italian, Dutch and French PM’s. The PM event will commence on Sunday 21 September and conclude Wednesday 24 September 2025. This activity includes 40 x one on one appointments, team bonding and networking events.
The second activity comprises of two retail agents training events in Cologne, Germany on the evening of Wednesday 24 September and Manchester United Kingdom on Thursday 25 September 2025. QIC, UK & Europe concludes at check out on Friday 26 September 2025.
This activity is vital to support our various airline partner routes into Queensland and to engage and upskill the knowledge our key distribution partners have of Queensland, its regions and, most importantly, the Queensland export ready products.

This event provides a platform for Queensland destinations and products to engage and train influential New Zealand Product Managers from inbound and wholesale agencies, and retail agents (including Aussie Specialists). A total of five distinct events will be held with the aim to reach approximately 200 agents and product managers.

The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME), is the leading trade event for the meetings and event industry in the Asia Pacific region. Each year, members of Business Events Cairns & Great Barrier Reef (BECGBR) join the bureau team to meet with qualified business event buyers from Australasia, but also some from key international markets including Asia, New Zealand and the USA.
The AIME program includes a day of knowledge and exchange sessions, followed by two consecutive days of pre-scheduled trade appointments. The event expects to host 500 buyers from around the world and welcome 3,500 visitor buyers and over 400 exhibitors.
