Congratulations to the Tropical North Queensland operators who won Gold, Silver and Bronze at the 2022 Queensland Tourism Awards. The Reef House won 5 Star Luxury Accommodation, Cape York Peninsula Lodge won 4-4.5 Star Deluxe Accommodation, Paronella Park won the RACQ People’s Choice Award and TTNQ won The Richard Power Award for Marketing for a campaign showing how great our region looks in green during autumn.
Silver awards went to Wildlife Habitat for Tourist Attractions, Paronella Park for Cultural Tourism, Cape York Peninsula Lodge for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Tourism, Ocean Safari for Adventure Tourism, and Lazy Lizard Motor Inn for 3-3.5 Star Accommodation.
Bronze went to Ingenia Holidays Cairns Coconut for Caravan and Holiday Parks and Exemplar Coaches & Limousines for Major Tour and Transport Operators. Winning a Queensland Tourism Award is a great confidence boost for our industry and next year when we host the awards in Cairns we look forward to seeing more entries from Tropical North Queensland. Tourism Week, including DestinationQ and DestinationIQ, will bring more than 1000 people to region on 22-24 November.
