More than 80 people attended TTNQ’s Cruise Market Briefing last week to hear cruise industry professionals discuss consumer sentiment, the future of sustainable cruising and how we can continue to position our region as a world-class cruise destination. After the event, 10 TTNQ Cruise Bundle participants attended one-on-one meetings with the cruise operators and ground handlers including Intercruises, Bob Wood Group, Silversea Cruises, Shorex, Akorn, Coral Expeditions and Carnival Australia.
Therese Phillips from Tourism and Events Queensland and Richard Stevenson from Ports North also spoke at the event. It was a great opportunity for TTNQ members to understand the cruise landscape and engage with the industry to understand the relationships with the cruise lines and ground handlers. Many conversations were started that may lead to greater opportunities for our local operators in the cruise industry which this year brought 87 ships to our city. Here are the presentations for those who couldn’t attend.
