Welcome this month to all our new members.
This is the Tourism Tropical North Queensland Sustainability Leaders Group, a collective of forward-thinking businesses that demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability through certification, accreditation, and active participation in sustainability initiatives within your businesses and our region. Collectively you make up 21% of the TTNQ membership, standing strong as industry leaders in TNQ, dedicated to making positive impacts through environmental, social and economic change.
The purpose of this group is to foster collaboration, share best practices, and create opportunities for your businesses to strengthen your sustainability efforts. Through regular e-newsletters we keep you informed of relevant initiatives, upcoming events and valuable resources to support your sustainability journey. These communications will also highlight success stories, provide opportunities for training and share industry insights to inspire continued collaboration and growth in sustainable practices.
One of the resources available to members is our TTNQ dedicated online resource “The Sustainability Hub” – please check back regularly as we periodically update resources and information such as grants, webinars, tools and initiatives to support your business journey.
As we move into 2025 our key focus for this group will be industry capacity building through measurement and management of your sustainability data, and improved waste management practices, particularly in relation to food waste reduction. Educational and collaborative opportunities will be highlighted in communications like these and via our online Sustainability Hub resource.
We hope that you find the resources and information shared in this newsletter of value. If you have any queries or would like to share any milestones or case studies, please make contact.
