Australian Tourism Exchange

Next event: 19 – 23 May 2024

The Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) is Australia’s largest annual travel and tourism business-to-business event hosted by Tourism Australia. The event brings together Australian tourism businesses, and tourism wholesalers and retailers from around the world through a combination of scheduled business appointments and networking events. It also provides international travel buyers with the opportunity to experience Australia’s tourism offering first-hand through pre and post-event familiarisations. Around 1,500 Australian seller delegates from approximately 550 companies, 650 key buyer delegates from over 30 countries, and 70 international and Australian media attend this global event.

ATEC Meeting Place

Next event: 30 October – 1 November  2023

The flagship business-to business gathering for Australia’s tourism industry, connecting buyers to sellers hosted by the Australian Tourism Export Council. This event brings together thought leaders and decision-makers from across the country to participate in commercially relevant B2B workshop appointments, engaging conference sessions and invaluable networking opportunities.

Event dates: South East Asia 18 – 21 July 2023 / India 23 – 27 July 2023 / North America 6 – 8 August 2023 / China 4 – 7 December 2023

Australia Marketplace provides representatives from the Australian Tourism Industry the opportunity to establish business relationships with key qualified travel agencies and tour operators from the UK & Europe, North America, India, China and SE Asia. The event is hosted by Tourism Australia.

Queensland in Calling Roadshows – Japan, South Korea, UK and Europe, New Zealand and China

Event dates: Japan & South Korea 3 – 8 September 2023 / UK & Europe 3 – 8 December 2023 / New Zealand 26 February – 1 March 2024 / China 18 – 22 March 2024

Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) offers the Queensland tourism industry the opportunity to engage with International trade partners, through attending the Queensland is Calling Roadshows. These roadshows provide a platform for Queensland destinations and products to engage and train International product managers, wholesaler staff and retail agents (including Aussie Specialists).

TTNQ Roadshow – Japan

Event dates: 11 – 12 September 2023

TTNQ adds it’s own roadshow to TEQ’s Queensland is Calling Roadshow trade event. The roadshow was held in Fukuoka and Sapporo where the major regional cities are in Japan. The event consists of 4 seminars.

Asia Pacific Incentives & Meetings Event

Event dates: 19 – 21 February 2024, Melbourne

The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME), is the leading trade event for the meetings and event industry in the Asia Pacific region. Each year, members of Business Events Cairns & Great Barrier Reef (BECGBR) join the bureau team to meet with qualified business event buyers from Australasia, but also some from key international markets including Asia, New Zealand and the USA.

The AIME program includes a day of knowledge and exchange sessions, followed by two consecutive days of pre-scheduled trade appointments. The event expects to host 500 buyers from around the world and welcome 3,500 visitor buyers and over 400 exhibitors.

Dreamtime

Event dates: 14 – 16 November 2023

Hosted by Business Events Australia, Dreamtime is held every two years in a different Australian destination. The Dreamtime program consists of business-to-business sessions between Australian industry and international incentive agents.

Post the Dreamtime trade show, buyers from the USA delegation will travel to Cairns & Great Barrier Reef for a three-day educational to experience first-hand the incentive offering of the destination.

Professional Conference Organisers Association Conference

Event dates: 10 – 12 December 2023, Adelaide

The PCOA conference is held annually in a different Australian city. The event provides the opportunity for business events suppliers and buyers to participate in interactive professional development sessions, panel discussions with industry leaders and networking events to strengthen relationships with key industry stakeholders.

Event dates:  America 17 – 19 October 2023 / Frankfurt 1316 May 2024 

IMEX is a global exhibition event for incentive travel, meetings and events that attracts thousands of professionals internationally. Business Events Australia attends both IMEX America and IMEX Frankfurt tradeshows and hosts a stand for Australian convention bureaux and Convention Centres.
